Materials: Acrylic paints, gold leaf, gilding adhesive, paintbrushes, scissors & 16 × 20-inch canvas.
All necessary materials can be provided by the instructor. Material costs are calculated separately based on the number of participants.
Workshop Description
This workshop explores acrylic painting combined with decorative gold leaf. Participants learn to create a floral composition, develop volume through colour and brushwork, and apply gold leaf to create luminous accents.
The workshop combines traditional painting techniques with contemporary decorative effects, resulting in an elegant and expressive artwork.
Workshop Schedule
Introduction & Demonstration — 30 minutes
Introduction to acrylic painting techniques, floral composition, colour mixing, and decorative gold leaf.
Sketching & Composition — 45 minutes
Creating the initial drawing and establishing the composition on canvas.
Acrylic Painting — 2 hours
Developing the floral painting through colour, brushwork, layering, and tonal values.
Gold Leaf Application — 1 hour
Demonstration and application of gilding adhesive and decorative gold leaf.
Final Details & Finishing — 45 minutes
Refining the composition, adding highlights, and completing the artwork.
Artwork Review & Discussion — 30 minutes
Reviewing completed paintings and discussing individual results.
Optional Lunch Break — 30 minutes
